Description

Newport House is an 18th-century red brick house located on Newport High Street. It has two storeys, attics, and cellars, featuring a five-window range of double-hung sash windows with glazing bars set in flush cased frames. The central doorway is approached by stone steps and is framed by a doorcase that includes panelled reveals, plain Tuscan half columns, a triglyph frieze, and an open pediment with an ornamental soffit. The roof is tiled and half hipped, with three hipped dormers situated behind the parapet.
