Description

Monks Cottage and The Little Shop is an 18th-century timber-framed and plastered house located on Newport High Street. It includes a separate building to the north and features a gable on the west front. The property has been converted into two tenements and stands two storeys high, with a three-window range of leaded casements. The gabled block contains a 19th-century former shop window on the ground floor. The roofs are tiled, and the main block displays a coved plaster eaves cornice at the front.
