Description

Riverside Cleaners is a shop located on the east side of High Street in Fordingbridge. It was built in the late 18th century and altered in the 20th century. The building is made of painted brick with rendered ends and has a plain tile roof. It is two storeys high and has two bays, with additions at the rear. The left-hand bay features a 20th-century door and shop front beneath a 19th-century pelmet and fascia. The central bay has had its door replaced with a window. The right-hand bay contains a 20th-century window in the original opening, which is set under a rubbed arch. On the first floor, there are two 16-pane sash windows. This building is included for its group value.
