Description
This building, originally a pair of houses, is now home to three shops. It dates back to 1685, as indicated by the initials MJF on a tablet, and has been altered in the 19th and 20th centuries. The front is rendered brick with a plain tile roof, and the structure is two stories tall with four bays and three gabled wings at the rear.
The front features three shopfronts from the 19th and early 20th centuries. The right-hand shop has a recessed glazed door and a plate glass window. The right side of the center shop has been altered in the late 20th century but retains a similar style. The left-hand shop includes a recessed central door with angled windows on either side, with the left window brought forward. Between the shops, there are piers topped by brackets and segmental gables. Above the shops, there is a fascia and a shutter box.
On the first floor, there are 18th-century 12-pane sash windows framed with architraves. In the center, there is a tablet. The building features recessed tooth quoins, a moulded cornice, boxed eaves, and a large central chimney stack.
