Description
Lowlands House is a pair of houses that have been converted into offices, dating from the early 19th century. The building is constructed of brick with roughcast and rendered dressings, topped with a plain tile roof. It is two stories high and features three wide bays. The front has a rendered plinth, with a 19th-century four-panel top-lit door and a radiating fanlight set in a depressed arch, which is adorned with toothed rendered voussoirs, located to the right of the center and at the left end. Both floors have three tripartite sash windows in splayed rendered openings, and there is a four-pane window in a similar opening above the right-hand door. The building is also characterized by toothed rendered quoins and timber eaves that display the ends of the rafters as modillions. Additionally, there are two skylights on the roof and end stacks.
