Description
Duveen Antiques is a cottage that originated in the 17th century and was remodeled and extended in the 18th century. It features a timber-frame structure that is encased in painted brick, topped with a thatched roof. The building consists of a single storey and attic in the three-bay 17th-century section, and a two-storey, two-bay 18th-century section.
The front of the cottage has the older part on the left-hand side, with a central plank door beneath a hood supported by posts. To the right of the door, there are two 2-light casement windows, which are set under camber arches. Above the centre and right-hand bays, there are 2-light eyebrow dormers. The later part of the building features a 2-light casement window with a cambered head on the right-hand side, a raised band at the first floor, and two additional 2-light casement windows with shutters above. The roof is hipped on the left-hand side and half-hipped on the taller part. There is a stack located on the left-hand side of the later section. Inside, the timber frame is exposed.
