Description

Farm Cottage is a mid-18th century cottage with an earlier core that has been altered in the 20th century. It is constructed of painted brick and features a thatched roof. The building is 1½ storeys high and has four bays, with an outshot at the end bay facing the road. The front includes an outshot at the road end bay, a plank door with a side-light on one side, and another plank door in the far bay with a light beside it. The other bays contain 2 and 3-light casement windows. Above the road side of the center bay, there is a 2-light eyebrow dormer. A raised band runs along the first floor. The roof has a half-hipped external stack in the center at the front and a ridge stack over the road end bay.
