Description
The Thatched Cottage is a 18th-century cottage that was extended in the mid-20th century. It is constructed of colourwashed brick and features a thatched roof. The cottage has two bays facing the road, with an outshot on one side and a wide 20th-century bay added to the far end, which projects forward. The road-facing end has three 2-light casement windows on the ground floor, including one in the outshot. There is a timber scantling and a 2-light casement window in the gable. The side of the cottage features a half-hipped thatched brick porch from the 20th century in the road bay, which has a 16-pane window, along with 2-light eyebrow dormers in the other bays. The roof is half-hipped, with a change of pitch for the added bay and a ridge stack at the end of the original building.
