Description
Hensting Cottage is a cottage that dates from the 17th century but was refronted in the 18th century. It has a timber-frame structure with brick infill, refronting, and an addition, topped with an old plain tile roof. The building is small, consisting of three bays and one and a half stories, with a two-bay single-storey addition to the left. The entrance faces the road and features a 19th-century planked door set in an open timber porch. There is a two-light camber head casement window beside the door in the left bay, while the other bays have three-light camber head casements. The addition includes a garage door. Above the right bay, there is a 20th-century three-light eyebrow dormer, and above the other bays, there are two-light gabled dormers. The roof is half-hipped and has a large stack positioned to the right of centre between the bays.
