Description
Kennel Farm House is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with an 18th-century wing. The building features a timber frame with brick infill and an addition, with sections that are part rendered, part slate-hung, and part weatherboarded, topped by an old plain tile roof. The structure consists of three bays and a smoke/passage bay, with a two-bay wing added to the front of the right bay, and it is two storeys high. There is a 20th-century gabled brick porch to the left of the centre in a narrow bay, and a 19th-century planked door located in an open pent-roofed porch at the inner face of the added wing's rear corner, which is tile hung. Each bay and wing end on both floors features 20th-century three-light casement windows. The roof is half-hipped with a large ridge stack positioned to the left of centre above the door.
