Description
Totford Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates from the 17th and 18th centuries. It is constructed with a timber frame and brick infill, featuring rebuilding and additions, and has a plain tile roof. The building is two stories high and consists of three bays, including a smoke bay and a screens passage bay, with an 18th-century bay added to the left. Early 20th-century additions include 1½ story half-hipped bays at the front on either end. There is a 20th-century hipped open timber porch leading to a 20th-century door located in the original passage bay between the left and center bays of the frame. The windows are irregular 19th-century casements, with one and two lights. The roof is half-hipped and features large two-flue stacks positioned over the smoke bay between the center and right bays of the frame and over the inner end of the 18th-century bay.
