Description
The walls surrounding the church, including the lychgate, are constructed of knapped flint with brick and faience dressings. The timber-frame lychgate features plaster infill and a tiled roof. The wall has a flint plinth with a brick offset, and is made of flint with six quatrefoiled faience panels, topped with a coping of precast knapped flint-faced concrete in one-meter lengths. The flint and brick wall includes gabled stone heads. The lychgate has a brick lower half, with a timber frame, decorated panels, and double gates featuring fine wrought iron work. The roof of the lychgate is hipped with gablets.
