Description
Northington Lodge is a lodge that has been converted into a private house, dating from around 1809 with 20th-century additions. It is constructed of rubble flint with Purbeck stone dressings and features an old fishscale tiled roof with Purbeck stone stacks, along with a brick and tile-hung extension. The building has an L-shaped layout, consisting of two bays by two bays, positioned end on to the drive, with a 20th-century wing added to the end. It is two storeys high, with a door on the left set in a projecting single-storey gabled porch that has a pointed doorway. Above the porch is a two-light leaded casement oriel, and on the right side, there are two-light leaded casements on each floor. The eaves are boxed, and the roof is half-hipped, featuring a group of four square stacks with offset heads on diamond bases at the right end of the ridge.
