Description
This is an early 18th-century cottage, altered in the 20th century. It is constructed of painted brick, partly rendered, with a thatched roof. The cottage is set with its end facing the road, and is one-and-a-half storeys high, with three bays. The front facing the garden has a plank door with an inserted light, protected by a pent-roofed hood between the road and the centre bays. A similar door with a light is also located in the far bay. A two-light casement window is present in the road bay, and a three-light casement window is set under a segmental head in the centre bay. The first floor has a raised band, interrupted by the window hoods. There are three-light eyebrow dormers above the centre and over the far bay. The roof is half-hipped, with a stack at the far end and a ridge stack between the bays. A first-floor band continues around the road end, where a two-light casement window is set into the gable, and a high-set attic light is located above.
