Description

This is a farmhouse dating to the late 15th century, with extensions from the 16th century and remodelling in the 18th century. The building is timber-framed with painted brick infill, some plaster panels, and areas of painted brick rebuilding. It is approximately one and a half to two storeys high. The front of the farmhouse displays two 16th-century bays, a smoke bay, and a wider rebuilt 18th-century bay to the right. Behind the front, there are two 15th-century bays and an 18th-century bay extending towards the rear.

The front of the farmhouse has a two-storey, three-bay section with a smoke bay. The right-hand 18th-century bay features a two-light casement within the frame of the entrance door and a three-light casement above. Other bays contain two or three-light casements. Above the left-hand bay are two-light eyebrow dormers. Over the other 16th-century bay are two two-light casements, initially appearing as an eyebrow dormer but then rising to the higher eaves level of the right-hand bay. The right-hand bay has a first-floor string and features a two-light casement and a blind opening. The roof is hipped and swept down over the outshot section. A ridge stack is located over the smoke bay. At the right-hand end is a large external stack with a moulded head.
