Description

This is a late 17th-century cottage, with alterations from the 18th century. It sits on a brick plinth and has a light timber-frame structure with painted brick infill, and brick additions, all under a thatched roof. The cottage is one-and-a-half stories, comprising a timber-frame bay, a stack bay, and a brick bay. The front of the cottage features a plank door sheltered by a thatched hood supported by posts on the left-hand side of the timber-frame bay. Each bay has a two-light casement window, and a two-light eyebrow dormer window is also present. A stack bay is located at the right-hand end. The roof is half-hipped, with a stack at each end; the left-hand stack is external.
