Description

East Mills Manor is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 18th century and restoration completed in 1973. The building features a timber frame with brick infill and brickwork in Flemish bond, topped with a plain tile roof. It has an L-shaped plan, with the main range running east-west and a wing projecting from the east end on the north side, along with an outshut at the angle formed. The house is 1½ storeys high and has 20th-century small-pane casement windows throughout.

On the south side, there are four bays with 18th-century brickwork. To the right, there is a 20th-century board door under a gabled canopy, three 3-light windows beneath segmental header-brick arches, and two 3-light hipped dormers. A large brick ridge stack with a cornice is located at bay 2, and the roof is half-hipped.

The east side features a gable of the main range that is timber-framed, with the ground floor concealed by a 20th-century hipped-roofed outshut that has a board door in an open gabled porch and a window to the right. There are two 2-light windows in the gable, an external stack, and one window in the timber-framed wing, which also has a half-hipped roof.

On the north side, the timber-framed wing has a 20th-century door with a 3-light window to its left, two 2-light windows in the gable, and two 3-light windows in the outshut. The interior has not been inspected.
