Description
Magnolia House is a house that has been converted into offices, dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of brick and features a tile roof. The symmetrical front, facing south, consists of three storeys and three windows, with a two-storey, one-window extension on the south side. The walls are made of blue header brick with flush red dressings, and there is a parapet with moulded coping and a dentilled cornice. The openings have vertical panels, quoins, and rubbed flat arches, with projecting bands on the first and second floors and a cement plinth. The windows are sash style in exposed frames.
The building has a Doric porch that includes a pediment, modillions, two smooth columns, and two pilasters, along with two stone steps leading up to a half-glazed later door. The extension features a modillion pediment on the parapet, a recessed panel that was formerly a carriage entrance on the ground floor, and red brick walling in Flemish bond.
