Description
The Limes is a house, now used as offices, dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of brick with a tiled roof and features a symmetrical front facing north, comprising three storeys with a window arrangement of 2-1-2. The walls are made of blue headers with red brick dressings, and the openings are set within vertical panels, flanked by end pilasters. The windows are topped with cambered arches that have blue header decoration, and there are bands along the parapet at the second and first floors. The parapet has stone coping, and the pilasters have moulded caps and moulded cills. The ground floor is rendered and features Victorian sash windows in reveals, with two three-light casements and narrow sash windows on either side of the central entrance. The entrance has a doorcase with a cornice on brackets, an eaved architrave, panelled reveals, and double doors made up of three panels, accessed by two stone steps.
