Description

No. 17 East Street is a house that has been converted into commercial premises, featuring a continuous shop front on the ground floor. It dates from the mid-19th century and is constructed of stucco. The building has a Victorian classical style, with three storeys and four evenly spaced windows on the front (south side). The parapet is topped with bold coping and a moulded band decorated with an egg and dart pattern. The quoins are rusticated, and the openings on the first floor have a cornice and frieze above the architraves. The windows are Victorian sashes set within reveals.
