Description

No. 19, East Street, is a commercial building with a front elevation dating from 1908, built onto an older structure. The front is rendered with a tile roof. The symmetrical south elevation has two storeys and six windows, arranged 2.2.2. Classical design features include a panelled parapet divided by pilasters and featuring a moulded coping that rises as a pediment above the centre, a cornice band, side panelled pilasters, and arched window openings with keys and a moulded impost band. The windows are Victorian sash windows. The continuous shop front has a cornice and frieze, with end brackets above pilasters and a central doorway. The east side has a rendered wall with coping to the parapet, a plain doorway, and a wider carriage entrance with a cambered arch and keystone.
