Description

Nos. 8 and 10 East Street are former houses that have been converted into two shops. The building dates from the early 18th century, with early 19th century and 20th century alterations. It is constructed of stucco and features a tile roof. There are two mid-20th century dormers with hipped roofs, and the eaves are partly coved plaster with brick dentils. The facade includes three sash windows and one 18th century casement window. The ground floor has a late 20th century Georgian shop front, complete with a frieze and fluted pilasters. There is also a stone panel that is incised with "HHM 1713."
