Description
Admiral House is a house that has been converted into offices. It dates from the early 19th century and was altered and extended in 1985. The building is constructed of brick and has a slate, hipped roof. It has a rectangular plan with a large extension at the rear and stands three storeys tall. There are flanking chimneys topped with clay pots and flat eaves supported by pairs of brackets. The front of the house is symmetrical with three bays. It features sash windows with glazing bars, although the ground floor windows have been altered. The central entrance door has six panels, a reeded head, and a plain arched fanlight, all set in a painted, rendered, recessed arched opening. To the left, there is a one-storey extension that is set back, featuring a slate roof and a small skylight. This extension has a planked door on the left and a sash window on the right. In front of the house, there is a small late 20th-century iron railing on a dwarf brick wall.
