Description

No. 8 Shute End is a small house, now used as offices, and is part of No. 6 Shute End, which is listed separately. It dates from the early 19th century and is constructed of brick with a tiled gabled roof. The building has a rectangular plan and features a gabled front with a brick string course and an offset eaves course. It stands two storeys high, with a chimney located on the left side. The first floor has central sash windows with sidelights and glazing bars, while the ground floor has one single sash window with glazing bars and a two-panelled door on the right, all set within an architrave surround, plain frieze, and moulded cornice.
