Description
62 High Street is a house that has been converted into offices, dating from the early 19th century. It features a painted brick front with red Flemish bond brickwork and blue/grey headers on the sides, topped by a hipped slate roof. The building stands three storeys tall. The upper floor has two broad elliptical arch-headed recessed panels, with a thin moulded cornice at their springing. The second floor contains three six-paned double-hung sash windows, while the first floor has three similar but deeper nine-paned windows. There is a 20th-century recessed shopfront with canted glass and a fascia above. To the south, there is a contemporary first-floor link block over a carriageway, made of rusticated stucco, featuring a 20th-century window framed in a plain border. A single gault brick stack is present, and the building is connected to extensive 20th-century structures at the rear.
