Description
Meadowview Cottage is a Grade II listed cottage that dates from the 16th century, with an early 19th-century extension. It is constructed of brick and stone, topped with a tile roof. The building features a timber-framed structure with a south extension added in the early 19th century. It has one storey and an attic, with irregularly placed windows. The roof is half-hipped, steep at the north end, and has a narrow span on the south side, with one gabled dormer at both the front and rear. The brick-nogged frame is exposed at the rear and north end, as well as at the upper part of the front (west), with some brick infill, including herring-bone patterns. The lower front wall and south side wall are made of coursed malmstone with brick dressings. The cottage has small casement windows and a boarded door. There is a small 20th-century outshot at the rear south side, which has boarded walls.
