Description

The Bull Inn is a public house dating back to the 17th century, with alterations and extensions from the early 19th century. It is constructed of brick and tile, with a timber-framed lobby entrance. The west-facing elevation has two storeys and three windows. The roof has a hip at the south end, with a shafted stack. The upper walls are largely tile-hung, while the remainder is painted brickwork in a Flemish bond pattern, featuring cambered openings and a plinth. Casement windows are present. A plain, shallow, gabled wooden porch was added in the 20th century. A single-storey extension to the west of the north side has a half-hipped tile roof and walls of brick and boarding. The south-facing elevation, which fronts the roadway, has two widely spaced windows, a hipped roof with brick dentil eaves, a high plinth, and casement windows.
