Description
Farley's Cottage is a Grade II listed building that dates from the 18th century. Originally two cottages, it has been converted into one. The structure is made of whitewashed stone and features a thatched roof. It is a single storey with an attic and has two bays. There is a boarded door at the outer end of the left bay, while the door at the right end has been replaced with a window. The cottage has paned windows, and all openings have exposed timber lintels. Above the exposed wall plate, there are two flush dormers, and the thatch is dressed over and half-hipped at the ends. A central brick stack is present. There is a lean-to on the right and a flat-roofed extension on the left, both of which are from the 20th century. The thatch extends down over a narrow service passage at the rear.
