Description

Long Cottage is a Grade II listed building, originally two cottages, dating from the 18th to 19th century. It features a pebbledashed exterior on flint and clunch, resting on flint footings, and has a thatched roof. The cottage is single storey with an attic, comprising two central bays and extended by a single storey bay at each end. The entrance has a boarded door, and there are 19th century timber casement windows. A door to the left of the entrance was replaced by a window in 1985. The thatch is swept over two flush dormers in the central bays, and there is a stack at the left end. Inside, the cottage includes a spine beam and a timber fire lintel in the stone stack.
