Description
Baden Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse located in Enford. It is primarily timber framed with some wattle and daub infill, and has been extended in brick. The building features a thatched roof and is designed as a single storey with an attic, which has been raised to two storeys. Originally, it consisted of two framed bays that are three panels high and include straight corner braces, with an additional panel raised over the wall-plate. The entrance is located in the right bay, featuring a 20th-century glazed door and porch, with a similar 20th-century glazed door and porch on the opposite side. The windows are timber paned casements. The farmhouse has been extended to the right by one bay, which is two storeys high and has an extension of the roof with a gable stack. There is also a similar one bay brick gabled extension on the east end, which includes a part external stack on the north side.
