Description
Dove's Farm Cottage is a Grade II listed building located in Ham Ham village. It consists of two cottages that have been converted into a single house, dating from the 17th and 19th centuries. The structure is timber framed with brick infill and features a thatched roof.
The original cottage has two bays and a gable facing the road, while a 19th-century cross wing was added to the rear, originally serving as a second cottage with two bays, later extended to three bays. A timber outbuilding has been added, which now functions as a breakfast room, and there is also a rear lean-to.
The framing of the early cottage is three panels high, with corner braces and an external stack positioned at the gable facing the road. The original door to the second bay has been converted into a window. The entrance to the rear block features a 20th-century framed and boarded door. The cottage has timber casement windows and timber lintels. The thatch extends over four dormers at the front and is half-hipped to the left. The roof structure includes queen struts.
