Description

Well Cottage is a 17th-century cottage located in Ham, Somerset. It is constructed with a timber frame and brick infill, and has a thatched roof. The original section is single-story with an attic, comprising three bays. It has been extended to the left and rear with a two-bay brick wing, centred on the original bay. The timber frame is three panels high and features corner bracing. The entrance is a lateral replacement door with glazing, situated in the centre bay and sheltered by a thatched canopy. Timber casement windows are present throughout. There are stacks positioned between the centre and right bays, and in the gable of the extended left bay. A queen strut roof truss is exposed in the right gable.
