Description
Long Lane End is a Grade II listed building located in Stourton with Gasper. It consists of two cottages that have been combined into one. The cottages date back to the late 17th century and were altered in the 20th century. They are constructed with a timber frame and feature brick and rubble stone nogging, with some parts rebuilt in rubble stone. The building has a thatched roof and stone stacks, and it is single-storey with an attic, featuring two windows.
The main range includes one leaded casement window in a rubble stone bay on the right, and two 2-light casements in eyebrow dormers on the north side. There is a 20th-century entrance porch on the left that connects the two formerly detached buildings. The south side has 20th-century casements and French windows, along with two eyebrow dormers that have either a pair or a single 2-light casement. To the right, there is a single-storey kitchen extension. The north range has been converted into a garage.
Inside, there is an open fireplace at the west end, which features a chamfered lintel supported by chamfered stone jambs, along with deep chamfered beams and exposed joists.
