Description

The Methodist Chapel, built in 1847, is a Wesleyan chapel located on the south side of The Street in Kilmington. It features dressed limestone and a Welsh slate roof with coped verges and a hip at the rear. The gable end faces the road and includes pointed central double doors flanked by two chamfered lancets. There is a plat band at the eaves level that has an incised date, and the coped verge is topped with a crocketed finial. The right and left returns of the chapel have two lancets each, which are adorned with Y tracery. The interior was not accessible during the survey conducted in September 1986.
