Description

Norton Ferris Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse, extended in the early 19th century. It is constructed of rubble stone with a tiled roof, featuring Welsh slate to the front pitch, and has gable end brick stacks. The house is arranged in a T-shape, with a gabled end facing the road. It is two storeys high and has three windows on the front elevation. A gabled porch with a segmental-headed planked door and a half-glazed inner door is located to the right of centre. To the left of the porch are two beaded stone cross windows, and to the right is a three-light segmental-headed casement. The first floor has two cross windows to the left, a single casement over the porch, and a three-light casement to the right. The left return has a 19th-century gabled porch containing a blocked pointed doorway. A rear wing has 16-pane sashes. The interior features chamfered beams and a cross passage located to the rear of the main stack.
