Description

Manor Farmhouse, now two dwellings, is a farmhouse that likely dates from the early 18th century and was altered in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of rendered rubble stone and features a hipped Welsh slate roof with brick stacks. The building has a U-plan layout and is two stories high with four windows.

To the left, there is a planked door in a corrugated iron porch leading to Manor Farm, accompanied by a 3-light casement window and a 6-pane sash window with a top-opening casement. The entrance to Manor House is marked by another planked door, with a 3-light casement window to the right. The first floor contains four 19th-century nine-pane sash windows. The right return features a 19th-century twelve-pane sash window on the ground floor.

At the rear of the main range, there are 16-pane sashes set in recessed chamfered surrounds, along with a 3-light recessed chamfered mullioned casement on the first floor. The wing to the right has 12-pane sashes with keystones, and the gable end includes a semi-circular headed sash with a keystone in the attic. An attached stair turret features a Tudor-arched doorway.

The interior of the north part, Manor Farm, was not accessible during the survey in September 1986, but Manor House contains boxed beams, several good doors with two moulded panels, and a corner cupboard in the south room with fielded panelled doors. The building was divided into two in the mid-20th century.
