Description
Grange Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 18th century, with alterations and extensions made in the 19th century. It is constructed of rubble stone, with the front rendered, and features a two-span tiled roof with gable end stone stacks that have moulded stone cappings. The building consists of two parallel ranges and is two storeys high, presenting a three-window front. The central entrance is a four-panelled door set within a beaded architrave and a stone segmental-headed porch. On either side of the door are two 2-light beaded mullioned sash windows, and there is a string course at lintel level. The first floor has three 2-light beaded mullioned sash windows. The right side of the building has a single casement and a 2-light casement. At the rear, there is a central planked door flanked by 19th-century four-light casements, while the first floor features a mix of a 4-light and a 2-light casement. Attached to the left side is a single-storey extension made of rubble stone, which includes 2-light casements and a hipped dormer. The interior mainly contains 19th-century fittings.
