Description

ASKHAM HELTON NY 52 SW 8/51 Helton Methodist Chapel - II Methodist chapel. Dated and inscribed: 'WESLEYAN CHAPEL AD 1857'. Limestone rubble walls with raised quoins, under Welsh slate roof. Single storey, 2 bays with left set back porch. Straight-headed windows of 2 Tudor-headed lights in ashlar surrounds with plain spandrels; leaded glazing. Entrance to porch has segmental-pointed head and plank door with studs and ornamental hinges. Rear, set into slope of hill, has single lights.
