Description
The Hollies is a house, likely dating from the mid-18th century, with later alterations. A date stone above the entrance bears the inscription "A&HD 1800". It is constructed of whitewashed rubble walls under a green slate roof with chimney stacks. The house is two storeys high and has two bays. A central 20th-century panelled door is set within a painted stone surround with a roundel displaying the date. The right side features three-light flat stone mullioned windows, while the left side has sash windows with glazing bars set in 19th-century painted stone surrounds. The Hollies closes the vista at the north end of the village.
