Description

Whent House is a house dating from the early 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It features painted roughcast walls beneath a graduated greenslate roof, complemented by painted brick chimney stacks. The building has two storeys and two bays. The entrance includes an 8-panel top-glazed door, and there are sash windows throughout. One upper-floor window is set in a chamfered 18th-century surround, while the others have 19th-century painted stone surrounds. Whent House is included for group value with Standingstone Cottage and Eardon Cottage.
