Description

Laburnum Cottage is a house that likely dates from the late 17th century. It is constructed of rough-cast stone and has a slate roof. The building is two storeys high and consists of three bays. The east elevation features a casement window and a sashed window set within a richly moulded architrave and dripstone. On the first floor, there are two sashed windows flanking a lower two-light flat-mullioned window with chamfered reveals. The entrance is located in the second bay. The cottage has a projecting gable-end stack and a cross-axial stack. At the rear, there is a lean-to outshut and a 20th-century porch. An attached house nearby is noted as having no special interest.
