Description
Jasmine Cottage is a Grade II listed building located in Little Pamphill, dating from the 18th century. Originally two cottages, it features plastered walls with a roof that is partly thatched and partly tiled, along with a brick chimney stack. The cottage is one storey high with attics.
On the north elevation, the ground floor has one casement window with horizontal glazing bars, while the attic has two dormers, each with casement windows that also have glazing bars. There is a flat-roofed extension to the east, which has a parapet with tile creasing and one casement window. The entrance is located at the rear, featuring a glazed door with sidelights.
The ground floor includes four casement windows with glazing bars, and the attic has two dormers with similar casements. At the west end of the house, a curved wing wall made of cob extends from the front wall, topped with thatched capping, likely indicating encroachment on common land. A porch was under construction at the time of the survey. The building is noted in the Royal Commission on the Historical Monuments of England as Monument 50.
