Description

No 522 is a late 17th to 18th century cottage that is part of a terrace of three cottages, including Nos 523 and 524. The building features plastered walls on a brick base and has a thatched roof with a brick chimney stack. It is one storey high with attics. The north elevation has two ground floor casement windows with glazing bars and one modern casement window. The entrance is located at the rear, and there is a modern flat-roofed porch. The ground floor also includes two modern windows with top-hung lights. In the attic, there are two dormers with casements that have glazing bars. On the west side, there is a single-storey lean-to under a thatched catslide roof, which has one casement window with horizontal glazing bars. This cottage likely represents encroachment on common land.
