Description

Loaves and Fishes Restaurant is an Anglican chapel of All Saints, built in 1872 by J. Baverstock of Marlborough. The building features diaper squared sarsen and flint panels, with limestone dressings and a tiled roof. It has a nave with a west bellcote, a south porch, and a short chancel. The porch is gabled, with a moulded outer arch and a boarded inner door, topped with a gable cross. The chapel has lancet windows with patterned leadwork, with the lancets in the chancel being shortened by a mid-wall string. There are triple lancets at the east end, and the west gable includes a quatrefoil light above paired lancets. The arched bellcote houses a bell, and the roof is adorned with crested ridge tiles. Inside, the nave is subdivided, featuring a trussed rafter roof and stencilled painting in the chancel.
