Description

The stable range at Manton House, built around 1870-1880, is a group of buildings that enclose a courtyard on the north-west side of Manton House. Constructed from brick and topped with a tiled roof, the design reflects a domestic revival style. The central gatehouse features a jettied, timber-framed first floor and a half hipped roof. On either side of the gatehouse are single-storey stables, each with stable doors and windows. The structure remains largely as originally built, representing a high-quality courtyard group.
