Description
The barn at Rockley Manor, now used as stables and garages, is located on the north-west side of the house. It is constructed from sarsen stone with brick dressings, which have been refaced in brick towards the yard. The gable is boarded, and the building features a thatched roof. This long structure has a central throughway, with three bays on either side that now serve as stables, continuing as garages, and includes a right angle wing on the south-west side. Inside, there are three altered late medieval roof trusses, likely crucks that have been shortened below the ceiling of the stabling area. The roof also features arched braced collars, mounted purlins, and an Alcock Type F2 ridge. A wind vane is located at the east end of the building.
