Description
Creel Cottage is a Grade II listed building that was originally two cottages but is now a single detached cottage. The right part dates from the 17th century, while the left part is from the early 18th century, with a late 18th-century extension in the center. The structure features a timber frame that has been refaced in English bond brick, topped with a tiled roof that has a hip to the left and an axial brick stack.
The cottage has a baffle-entry design typical of the 17th century and is single-storey with an attic. It has four windows in total. There is a 20th-century door on the left, accompanied by two-light and three-light segmental-headed casements. To the right, there are two 20th-century casements and a large 20th-century window. The attic on the left has two 2-light casements, while the right side has one 3-light casement. At the rear, there are additional 20th-century casements and a glazed door. Inside, the cottage features chamfered beams with run-out stops.
