Description

No. 136 is a detached cottage located on the south side of The Borough in Downton, dating from the late 18th century. It is built of Flemish bond brick and features a tiled roof with a brick stack on the left side. The cottage is two stories high and has three windows. The central entrance consists of a planked door set in a beaded case. To the left of the door is a two-light casement window, while to the right is a three-light casement window, both of which have segmental heads. There is a three-brick plat band at the first floor level, which includes two two-light casements and one 20th-century casement. The rear of the cottage has 20th-century casements as well. The interior has not been inspected.
