Description
This is a late 18th-century shop and house located on the north side of The Borough in Downton. The building is constructed of Flemish bond brick, notable for its vitrified headers, with a tiled roof and brick stacks. It is one storey and attic in height, with three windows. To the left is a four-panelled door set within a latticed porch, flanked by four-pane sashes. To the right is an early 20th-century shop front. A three-brick plat band runs along the first-floor level. The roof has coped verges and kneelers, incorporating three gabled dormers with two-light casements. The right return side features a single first-floor casement and a blocked attic window. A rear wing includes a six-panelled door and casements with segmental heads, including a two-light and a three-light window. The interior has not been inspected.
