9 Hill Street is a late 18th-century building that was originally stuccoed but is now weatherboarded on the first and second floors, with a painted brick base. It features a tiled roof with gabled ends and stands three storeys tall, with a single window width. The windows are sashes with glazing bars, and there is a later ground floor sash that has vertical glazing bars. A glazed door is located on the right side of the building. The gable end is tile-hung, and there is a brick chimney stack. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 8 to 12 and No 12A.
